Oil Tank Replacement Services is family run from Market Rasen in Lincolnshire, with more than 80 years of combined experience across the team. We specialise in oil storage and nothing else, for domestic, agricultural and commercial customers.
Who we are
We are a family-run business based at 94 Gordon Field, Market Rasen, LN8 3AE, working across Lincolnshire, Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Leicestershire, Rutland and Cambridgeshire. Between the team there is over 80 years of combined experience in oil tanks.
Every engineer on our team is OFTEC registered, which means the work we do is certified against Building Regulations Part J and OFTEC Technical Book 3 rather than simply being someone's best guess at where a tank should go. That certification is what your insurer will ask for, and what a buyer's solicitor will want to see when you eventually sell the house.
Why we do our own groundworks
Most oil tank companies fit tanks and subcontract the base. We do both. The base is where most installations go wrong: a slab that is too small, not level, or laid on ground that settles will stress the tank outlet, skew the contents gauge, and eventually crack. When the same company surveys the site, builds the base, sets the tank, runs the oil line and commissions the boiler, there is nobody left to point at when something is not right.
It also means we can do the whole job in a day on most domestic replacements, rather than leaving you without heating while you wait for a second trade to turn up.
Honest advice, including when the answer is “not yet”
Not every tank we survey needs replacing. Plenty need cleaning, a water draw-off, a new filter, or a repaired base, and we will tell you that even though it is the smaller invoice. A tank that has been well maintained can comfortably see out its twentieth year; a neglected one can fail at twelve. Our job at survey is to tell you which one you have.
When a replacement is the right call, you get a fixed written quote covering the tank, base, groundworks, fittings, removal and recycling of the old tank, and recommissioning. We price the job rather than the hours, because we would rather settle the number before we start than argue about it afterwards. Finance is available if you would rather spread the cost.
